Panayotis Canellopoulos, born in Athens in 1955,
studied Social Sciences in France ("Diplome de Maltrise" in Psychology
of the University of Montpellier).
In the 80's he took active part in several pilot programs promoted
by Greek public organization in view of the country's European Union Membership.
After losing his parents since the early 90's he decides to continue the family's
jewellery tradition.
Firmly believing that real value of the gold jewellery lies in the message
it carries, he moved away from industrial, machine made jewellery,
instead he created an artistic collection of hand-made pieces,
inspired from the four-thousand-year-old Frescoes of Akrotiri.
The worldwide acceptance of his simple, elegant and meaningful design,
encourage him to continue his effort for the promotion of the eternal ideas
of the Minoan world. Mr. Kanellopoulos wishes to publicly express
his gratitude to Professor Christos Doumas who has guided him
in the research of medical prescriptions by Hippocrates, Gallinos
and Dioscourides on the use of Saffron in Medicine
and professor M. B. Raizis of English Literature , for his linguistic corrections
