The systematic analysis of the wall paintings of Thera , has clearly shown an advanced society that had used

the walls to express religious values similar to the ones of Old European , Eguptian,or Mesopotamian civilisations…

Our study has been based to these prehistoric symbols [2, 3, 4, and 5], because their presence, either as jewellery

shapes or as decoration motifs in the wall paintings, but also as syllables or letters of Protosinaic, Babylonian, linear A,

linear B and finally Greek language can be of great value for the interpretation of the pictures, and to restore the religious

and social profile of a Bronze Age society…

If we only observe the women “without face” in Afghanistan, years after their liberation from the Taliban’s, or the young girls

of Islamic religion in France, that risk to be excluded from education because of their Islamic tradition of clothing, is more

than obvious, that the image of women is related with culture; religion , education , and social status,

are reflecting in women appearance, so it is more than obvious that the spectacular images of the Theran’s women in the wall paintings with lip-stick, make-up, and jewellery, must be seen as privilege of a prehistoric society, where the main religion

is related with the life-giving goddess

The origin of the Therans

1: “ATLANTIS”   From Myth to History…

The first design of our collection is the shape of a star with a tail, to remind us that in ancient texts, a comet came close to earth and created catastrophes such as volcanic eruptions, related with the mythic Atlantis but also with the

falling of the Minoan civilization…

Even if the researches had failed to find evidence of  Atlantis in Thera , the prehistoric goddess seems to be  related with Venus, and the offering of saffron  in xeste 3 is similar to the offering of saffron pies in Isthar, the Babylonian star goddess,

or Hathor the Egyptian primordial cow ,  responsible for life but also for death …

Since History is a part of a Myth, the fact that Venus is related with life and death religion everywhere on earth,

must be of some truth, and soon we will learn more about the Olympian gods and the real motives of Theo genesis…

The Cassini mission is part of NASA's program to systematically explore the solar system. Cassini's exploration of the Saturnian system from 2004 to 2008 is expected to shed light on issues ranging from the origin of the solar system to the beginning of life on Earth -- inspiring young and old alike to learn more about science.

2:     “SAFFRON”       Prehistoric medicine and archeology…

                  santorini ancient greece map

The most important symbol of our collection, the key to unlock many prehistoric excavations

of the Mediterranean

and Mesopotamian civilisations, is definitely the triangular shape jewellery, the symbol of the flower of crocus…

As we show in the proper chapter, all plants painted in Akrotiri are medicinal plants…

The priestly society of Thera, as clearly shown in xeste 3, offered saffron to the goddess, and the initiation process

must be of mostly religious and social importance…    The presence of the African fresco nearby sacral horns in sector A

but also the glorious size of Pancratium Maritimum in the house of the ladies is strong evidence of related religious aspects

and practises between Africa , Asia, and Europe through Greece…

The prehistoric maritime trade as we can see from this map allowed intercultural exchanges , so Crete seems to be

a crossroad of three continents…

We should not be certain about the origin of the Therans, unless if we follow the traces of this important initiation, that is the main subject of the xeste 3 and the known use of all the medicinal plants that were painted in the initiated girl’s head, is showing that, the religious character of this ritual, presents similarities to female circumcision which

 is still practicing in Africa…

What was the religion and social customs before the oldest manuscripts in Greece, we can guess from the female circumcision that as age- set in the irua ceremony of the Kikuyu [one of the African tribes that continue the custom today] serves a recording role..... Each year the age- set is given a name that reflects some outstanding event of the year.

Thus, the Kikuyu kept an oral record of their history by naming each age-set after important events every year.

This is especially important because the Kikuyu do not keep written records…

The presence of Eleusinian later in Thera must be related with the medicinal plants of the island, since some

of those should be used for “kykeon”, the divine drink of the Eleusinian Mysteries…

The fact that after the ritual, all the initiated ones, as we read in ancient texts, used to wear a myrtle branch in their heads,

as the picture of xeste 3 shows, leave little doubt that the rituals are related, and the only but obvious difference, is, that in Akrotiri, the initiation concerned women only, like in Thesmophoria, the women festival of ancient Greece,

and it had a straight connection with menstruation, as a step to maternity…

The xeste 3 initiation is Matrilineal evidence from the priestly society of prehistoric Thera, and the secret character of the Eleusinian Mysteries , should be seen as a prohibition

for historical connection with past religious and social structure…

Is there any possibility that the Eleusinian Mysteries initiation and the one of xeste 3 are identical?

If not, why it was forbidden for pregnant women?

Why it was secret, when all men, women and children and slaves could participate, if they had spoken Greek,

and their hands were cleaned from blood?

The only logical explanation is that after the volcanic eruption , a new Nation was born, and any connection

with past religion and social structure should be  done, only for those who were taught the Greek language as the mostly important criterion of citizenship

The presence of Palaeolithic evidence in Har –Karkom at Sinai , seems to verify the theories of many scholars that they claim relationship between linear A and Protosinaic, as if the origin of Minoans could be considered

of Afro-Asiatic instead of Indo-European…

The glorious harvest of saffron in xeste 3, but also the other medicinal plants of the initiated girl, is pictures of a religious ceremony that is related with Palaeolithic rituals in Har Karkom at Sinai, since Karcom means saffron, and prehistoric Sinai

religion was connected with Hathor, the Egyptian goddess of fertility …

The intercultural exchanges between Greece and Egypt in prehistory, although the religious differences are continues

and have high spiritual appreciation for all those who are interesting for the past…

A reference must be made to Plato in the Timaeus who tells us that Greek aspirants to wisdom visited Egypt for initiation,

and that the priests of Sais used to refer to them as children in the Mysteries.

It is said that during the reign of Amasis, Thales visited Egypt and was initiated by the Egyptian Priests into

the Mystery System and science of the Egyptians…

It 'is said that Pythagoras, a native of Samos, travelled frequently to Egypt for the purpose of his education

Like every aspirant, he had to secure the consent and favour of the Priests, and we are informed by Diogenes that

a friendship existed between Polycrates of Samos and Amasis King of Egypt, that Polycrates gave Pythagoras letters

of introduction to the King, who secured for him an introduction to the Priests; first to the Priest of Heliopolis, then to the Priest

of Memphis, and lastly to the Priests of Thebes, to each of whom Pythagoras gave a silver goblet. (Herodotus Bk. lll 124;

Diogenes VIII 3; Pliny N. H.

We are also further informed through Herodotus, Jablonsk and Pliny that after severe trials, including circumcision,

had been imposed upon him by the Egyptian Priests, he was finally initiated into all their secrets…

According to Diogenes Laertius and Herodotus, Democritus is said to have been born about 400 B. C. and to have been

a native of Abdera in Miletus…

. We are also told by Demetrius in his treatise on "People of the Same Name", and by Antisthenes in his treatise

on "Succession" that Democritus travelled to Egypt for the purpose of his education and received the instruction of the Priests.

We also learn from Diogenes and Herodotus that he spent five years under the instruction of the Egyptian Priests

and that after the completion of his education, he wrote a treatise on the sacred characters of Meroe.

In this respect we further learn from Origen, that circumcision was compulsory, and one of the necessary conditions

of initiation to a knowledge of the hieroglyphics and sciences of the Egyptians, and it is obvious that Democritus, in order

to obtain such knowledge must have submitted also to that rite …

0rigen, who was a native of Egypt, wrote as follows:
“Apud Aegyptios nullus aut geometrica studebat, aut astronomiae secreta remabatur, nisi circumncisione suscepta.”
      “
No one among the Egyptians, either studied geometry, or investigated the secrets of Astronomy, unless circumcision had been undertaken…”

The origin of those who painted Akrotiri, is definitely under new consideration with the help of prehistoric medicine, since any further excavation or deciphering of linear A to discover the origin of the Therans, must be accepted ,

only if it is previous from the one of Har Karkom in Palaeolithic, and only if it is connected with saffron rituals,

since all evidence are showing that shamanism for saffron , is the oldest consideration for life,

and religion is related with fertility, as far as we can go buck in time...

                    3, 4: The religion of the Therans…

The cross [3] from Palaeolithic Sinai, and the cross in a circle [4] from Mesopotamian scripts, are symbols of different uses, for the fertility Goddess…

The shape of the priestess earring in west house of Akrotiri [4] is also a syllable   in linear A , who was preserved in linear B but also in early Greek at 700bC when the alphabet appears to be import from Cyprus….

The fact that, from area to area , the letters were written differently, with the only exception of the theta,

that at 700b C [everywhere in Greek numismatic], it was made as a cross in a circle {4] instead of Θ, is not a reason to believe that the Therans of Akrotiri and the ancient Greeks are relatives?

Especially if we notice that “theos” means god and this word starts with a theta letter, isn’t obvious that the prehistoric symbols and rituals were continuously expressed in Greece?

The fact of deciphering of linear B and the acceptance of a Greek origin language,  is enough to estimate,

that the Mycenaean’s preserve a part of the Minoan culture, but also add new elements from all the later populations

 that came in Greece…

S Marinatos, the archaeologist who discover the prehistoric city of Akrotiri, was persuaded since 1939

that the volcanic eruption in Thera was responsible for the falling of the Minoan civilisation…

The recent geological researches cannot confirm the previous theory that the tsunami was high enough

to cover Crete, but the analysis of the wall paintings are showing a priestly

society, who is based in shamanism, to explain life, as a women privilege, witch is more than obvious that after

the final eruption, should be assuming the responsibilities for inability and social disorder would be expected…

The practice of genital initiation in Prehistoric Thera can be a strong argument that it was a Matrilineal society,

since we don’t have male initiation as the Jewish, or both sex as in African tribes, but only female…

The fact that in Africa we have both sex initiation and in Monotheistic religions only male circumcision, is enough

evidence to observe the transformation of the ceremony but not of the task witch is the social and religious initiation to the fertility process as to insure life…

The earliest evidence of Monotheism, earlier than the one of Akhenaton in Egypt, should be considered  the religion of the Therans, as far as we can see from the 3% of the excavated

area in Akrotiri

After the island’s evacuation, the later Greek populations  present religious or social similarities with the prehistoric

Therans, as we can see from their symbols and rituals, but also radical differences, since the Great goddess of the past, must be replaced with many inferior divinities, so after the volcanic eruption, Polytheism will occur Greece, at least for 3 centuries, till Ptolemy, establish Monotheism, with more than a hundred sanctuaries at Har Karkom in Sinai, but mostly with the translation of the Bible in Greek…

If the Roman Adrian at 134 AD did not prohibited circumcision for Christians, and two centuries later, were not prohibited  the Eleusinian Mysteries by the Romans also, the continuous interaction between Europe and Africa through Greece, probably could show that

Christianity is a Hellenistic origin religion….

The fact that saffron is the 4th element of “Holly Myrrh” of Christian Orthodoxy Church, the fact that King Solomon mention it in “ the Song of Songs” as one of the Special herbs[4:14], are only few of evidence for its glorious appreciation in Christianity…

Often enough in iconography, we see the cross in a circle [4] painted behind the head of Jesus, as a sign of

Immortality, but also as a prehistoric religious symbol of “theos=god”, it can show the origins of Christianity, as similar to the ones from the Therans in Prehistoric Akrotiri…

The symbolic presence of Maria Magdalene among His followers, mark the end of Matrilineal societies, since the

new morality  of Christian religion don’t accept the role of the holly slaves, and the only role of women is to belong in the family, and her body suppose to be used for fertility and not for pleasure …

For many centuries the prehistoric goddess had been venerated at the same time with Virgin Marry, and many temples of ancient gods became Christian ones…

5: The “Bull” symbol of xeste 3…

The real motives of history records in Greek culture must be seen as, excluding women from education and hiding from public use the prehistoric rituals as the one of xeste 3

in Akrotiri, because it must be estimated as obstacles to establish the family structure society…

The only women that had right in education were the ones that serve as priestesses in the temple of Aphrodite

and they did not have the right of marriage…

All the naked women statues from Greek Antiquity are model of “hierodules”,

the “holly slaves» that use to offer unforgettable experience to the visitors of Aphrodite temples…

If we try to understand these dramatic changes of religious appreciation of woman in the passage to a family structure society, the pictures of Moses with the “bull”symbol can help us to realise that men discovered the truth of making children in women, but they still cannot disconnect the religious importance of their womb from life….

santorini ancient greece relations with religious symbols

Images of Moses display a horned hat and then horns: Aelfric 1025 AD,
Moses with serpent 1225, Sluter 1404, Michelangelo 1513, Freud 20th century (Mellenkoff)

In Crete also, the first appearance of Zeus is with horns in his head, so is important to notice that the consequences of the volcanic eruption, had  influenced the Priestly society, but the “bull” symbol is preserved…

Today, thousands of years later, it seems that we have forgotten the use of the symbols…

If someone ask you what is the most important human organ, which one you will say?

Probably the heart or the brain isn’t?

This is exactly the reason that 15 years ago I started to make jewellery from the wall paintings…

Only gold can tell us today the values of people leaving before History…

The symbols, can tell us what it was never written about the human past:

That man gave image to the god, according to his own cultural evolution...

The only religion we ever had is to preserve life…

All along the silk road, we found people who claim to be descendants of  the Greeks who had crossed Asia with Alexander the Great: the most interesting case is the Hunja…”Blue eyes, fair skins, and blonde or reddish hair, with features that  were nothing if not European; was it possible to be the long-lost descendants of the ancient Greeks ?

“I do not palliate the old Hunja practice of lending one's wife to a guest or of kidnapping good looking strangers in order to improve the race.” writes in 1830 G W Leitner…Their culture presents strong Matriarch cal character, but enriched with historical transformations: They believe that a bull, is holding the earth on its horns*...When one of its horns “falls asleep” the bull shifts the earth to the other horn and at that time an earthquake occurs...

They believe about creation, almost what is written in the Bible; this could explain why, Ptolemy following the example of Pesistratos, who  wrote  the Homeric poems**, writes the Bible in Greek , in order to preserve  the establishment of a family structure, as main difference, of before and after  consideration, of life being created under bisexual activity, without the interference of  gods**** ...   It is more than logical to assume that every new religion to

be  accepted, by  the totality of a social group of people is not easy, and conclude that Matriarch cal societies should survived  today in areas where occidental culture  did not influence them such as the mountains of Afghanistan, Pakistan, all those places where Alexander the Great left the marks of Greek culture, or vice-versa, he imported culture from Asia to Greece and to the rest of the Macedonian  areas including Babylon, Egypt and Palestine

. The obvious relation between HUNJA and Greek cultures*****, the presence of the Bible context, in Asia, probably before 330 bC, are only few of the questions , any progress in Akrotiri could cast light on..
